She Blooms Physical Therapy: Case Study
She Blooms Physical Therapy is a private practice devoted to women of all ages for physical therapy and wellness services, held in Wesley Chapel, Florida.
Dr. Lynn Deang is the owner and founder of SheBlooms PT, providing one-on-one professional and quality care. She Blooms PT offers multiple ways to provide these services; in-person office visits, in-person home visits, and online virtual sessions.
The Game Plan
She Blooms PT was established in 2019 and was originally represented with a single logo. As a growing design student at this time, I was quick to notice the flaws of its design and application. I have discussed my thoughts to Dr. Deang, pointing out the flaws of the current logo and earned myself a contract to design a new identity for her business.
Upon interviewing her, the client brief has been made clear to me; A logo redesign for She Blooms that speaks both modern and feminine, while communicating to women all ages.
As with all of my graphic design projects, I followed a five step process that I have listed to the right. The images below display some of the in-depth steps that I have taken to reach the final design.
-
The beginning of each project starts with understanding the needs of the client. Meeting face to face with Dr. Deang, I’ve taken notes and asked questions in order to gain a clear understanding of the project brief.
-
In order for this identity to successfully reach its target audience, research must not be overlooked. This step includes the exploration of market trends, competitors, type, colors, and related designs. Research feeds inspiration.
-
Building a schedule benefits both the client and the designer, providing a structured outlook for this project. Rather than diving in with no game plan, I have a gained a good footing by developing initial sketches and type pairings.
-
After taking my drafts to the next step, I have narrowed them down to my top picks and presented them to Dr. Deang. After receiving feedback from multiple meetings, I’ve taken them back to the drawing board for finalization.
-
5. With all of the adjustments made according to the clients’ needs, the new logo has been finalized and is ready for production.
